    A survey of more than 750 decision-makers within UK businesses has revealed their plans to invest in artificial intelligence (AI) in 2021

    STEM in demand

    A global survey by SThree, the world’s only pure-play STEM staffing specialists, has found 79 per cent of respondents are finding it challenging to get the right skills or the right candidates in the right location. The survey also found 70 per cent of respondents want candidates with specialist expertise and 58 per cent want to find people quickly. These pressures exist despite job application levels rising as much as 300 per cent in some regions.

    Digital skills “biggest business challenge”

    Research from the FTSE 250 professional services firm, FDM Group has found almost two-thirds (65 per cent) of businesses see a digital skills shortfall as one of the most significant challenges facing their company in 2021.

    Global talent assessment platform provider, Thomas International has added its Aptitude assessment to the new Thomas platform. The new platform, consisting of Thomas Perform and Thomas Profile applications, will begin to be rolled out across Thomas’ global markets after the completion of this initial launch phase in the UK.
