    Research launched in February 2021 from the UK Tech Cluster Group, supported by the Institute of Coding (IoC), shows that the tech sector has continued to see growth in 2020. Despite the national upheaval caused by the pandemic, 42 per cent of tech companies reported an increase in revenue over the past 12 months (with 32 per cent staying the same) and almost half (46 per cent) said they had increased their employee numbers.

    A fast-growing tech business has expanded from a health and safety app to a digital platform for all employees. Fusion, which is based in Deeside, North Wales, has broadened its offer after several clients asked the company if it could provide a broader solution.

    Bullhorn's 2021 Global Recruitment Insights and Data (GRID), has identified a dramatic rise in the number of UK recruitment businesses employing a digital transformation strategy. According to a survey of more than 2,000 recruitment professionals, more than two-fifths (43 per cent) reported having a digital transformation process in place, compared to only a quarter (25 per cent) last year.

    A global survey by SThree, the world’s only pure-play STEM staffing specialists, has found 79 per cent of respondents are finding it challenging to get the right skills or the right candidates in the right location. The survey also found 70 per cent of respondents want candidates with specialist expertise and 58 per cent want to find people quickly. These pressures exist despite job application levels rising as much as 300 per cent in some regions.
